Q: How does The Green Maid come up with their pricing?
A: Please note that every home is different. There are several factors that we base our prices on, such as: the size of the home, time, pets, children and condition of the home. There is a difference in pricing depending on how often we clean your home. For instance, a weekly cleaning will be less money than a monthly cleaning because homes tend to get dirtier after a longer period of time has elapsed. We recommend cleaning your home at least twice a month and possibly weekly depending on the complexity of your home.
Q: What should I do to prepare my home for cleaning?
A: It would be greatly appreciated if you can put away any personal items and clutter so we may optimize our time and your money to thoroughly clean instead of spending too much time picking up.
Q: Do I have to be home when you come to clean?
A: Most people prefer not to be home when we clean. Some clients let us in before they leave and show us how to let ourselves out. Some clients opt to make us a set of keys. If we make a set of keys, they are identified and kept in a locked safe for the safety of you and your home.
Q: What if we have pets?
A: We don't mind pets as long as they are in an enclosed area during the first couple of cleanings until they get used to us. We also offer "pet pampering" in our A La Carte services for an additional charge.
Q: Are you licensed?
A: Yes, The Green Maid is licensed to conduct business in the State of Connecticut
Q: Are you insured against any damages?
A: The Green Maid is fully insured. We take extreme precautions to ensure that objects do not get broken, however accidents do sometimes happen. In the event that an object is damaged, please notify our office within 24 hours and we will take action to provide compensation.
Q: What type of training do your housekeepers receive?
A: All housekeepers must have cleaning experience prior to employment with our company. In addition, each employee goes through a thorough background check. After an employee is hired, they are personally trained by the owners of The Green Maid to ensure that they are competent, courteous and trustworthy.
Q: How do I pay for your cleaning services?
A: At this time, we are only accepting personal checks.
Q: What if I am not happy with a cleaning?
A: If you are dissatisfied with a cleaning, please contact our office within 24 hours and we will personally arrange to have a housekeeper come and re-clean the areas in which you are displeased with.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you need to cancel a scheduled cleaning, you must contact our office within 48 hours of your scheduled cleaning or a $40 cancellation fee will be charged. If you don't cancel your scheduled cleaning within 24 hours, you will be charged half the cost of your scheduled service.
Q: Are gift certificates available?
A: Yes. You may request a gift certificate by email or by calling our office for more information.
